CellTrak Releases New Version of Mobile Health Care Solution

Category leader continues rapid rollout of new features and enhancements

February 8th, 2016 Schaumburg, IL – CellTrak Technologies, the provider of the leading mobile health care and service delivery solution for the home health, hospice and community care markets in the US, Canada and the UK, today announced a new release of the CellTrak Mobile Health Solution, a software-as-a-service offering that is used at approximately 4,000 agency locations to make nearly one million home care visits per week. The new features and enhancements include a significant expansion of CellTrak’s support for Shared Care (Shared Care, also known as Cluster Care, is a care model in which a caregiver provides care for several patients or clients, moving between them in multiple short care segments), the transition of its GPS-based mapping to Google Maps, and features that improve communication between caregivers in the field and the office staff and reduce administrative paperwork.

"The demand for home care is increasing rapidly, as is the pressure to deliver it more efficiently,” stated Mark Battaglia, CellTrak’s CEO. “The best practices for care delivery – and the management of care delivery – are continually changing. At CellTrak, that translates to delivering frequent updates of our industry-leading mobile solution in ways that make a real difference in terms of our customers’ ability to improve care quality, compliance and communication; reduce administrative costs; and improve staff productivity and satisfaction. The Shared Care delivery model is increasingly important as more caregivers work with patients and clients in both facilities and homes. We worked closely with our customers to determine the best way to support it. The result of that collaboration is new functionality that works the way people in home health and hospice really work, and is unrivaled in the industry.”

Among the notable features in this release that streamline workflow and improve the communication between the field and the office are:

  • Enhanced support for Shared Care that enables caregivers to use their mobile devices to quickly and easily switch between clients and get the information that they need, and sophisticated back-end functionality that accurately keeps track of care provided, time, expenses, etc., and automatically delivers the results to EMRs, billing and payroll systems.
  • The introduction of Google Maps to improve Electronic Visit Verification, reduce driving time and make mileage calculations more accurate, especially for rural areas, new neighborhoods, and geographies outside the United States.
  • Improved support for secure, on-device communication that enables caregivers to easily acknowledge notifications, such as schedule changes, without disrupting their interaction with clients and that reduces the need for back-and-forth between the caregivers and the office staff to ensure awareness of the changes.
  • Streamlined and enhanced support for managing and verifying travel reimbursement.
