THE ROLE DEFINED:

We are looking for a Business Development Representative to act as the liaison between our Marketing and Sales teams. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers. Our biggest needs involve:

  • Qualifying leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities

  • Contacting potential customers through cold calls and emails

  • Database and list management

  • Presenting our company to potential customers

  • Demonstrating strong software sales discovery processes

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns, cold calls, and assisting sales quotas. We expect that you will use communication skills to find and cultivate relationships with prospects from the first contact, through discovery until you hand off to a Regional Sales Director. If you are motivated, results-driven, and enjoy working in a team environment, we’d like to meet you! Experience within the home and hospice community is a big plus.

Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities

  • Contact potential customers through cold calls and emails

  • Present our company to potential customers

  • Identify potential customer needs and suggest appropriate products/services

  • Customize discovery sessions for handoff

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market

  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and RSDs

  • Report to your manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results

  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role ( 1-3 years experience).

  • Software sales experience

  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)

  • Track record of achieving sales quotas

  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce or Hubspot)

  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)

  • Understanding of sales performance metrics

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations

  • BS or BA Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Advertising or relevant field
