Hospice leader increases efficiency and streamlines daily workflow

Schaumburg, IL (January 31, 2013) - When curative medical treatment is no longer an option, the focus shifts to supporting patient’s quality of life. Catholic Hospice is a community-based not-for-profit program serving the South Florida community since 1988. Catholic Hospice provides responsive end-of-life care for patients of all ages and faiths, and assists families in caring for a loved one with reverence and dignity at the most vulnerable time in life’s journey. Our patients, residents and those who use our services are our first responsibility. Catholic Hospice provide services with love, skill, compassion and respect for all human dignity - regardless of race, creed or religious affiliation.

Catholic Hospice believes their first responsibility is to their patients, residents, their families and all others who use their services. They render their services with skill, compassion and respect for human dignity, regardless of race, creed or religious affiliation. The second responsibility is to their employees, the men and women who enable them to care for their patients and clients. With their core values, missions and responsibility in mind, Catholic decided to implement a mobile technology solution from CellTrak™. Recently they have implemented these new features to streamline administrative processes.

This new feature, Activity Duration Management, proactively notifies an agency/organization to prevent the over-serving or under-serving of patient/client care prior to the end of their episode of care. This feature benefits and supports visit management in the private pay and Medicaid markets to compensate and bill accurately.

“The new features offered by CellTrak are increasing efficiency by eliminating extra steps in daily processes. It is saving an average of at least 30% of our staffs’ time each week. CellTrak has rolled out a few features and we were able to implement and streamline workflow productivity within two weeks,” shared Richard Ferreyra, Manager of Information Systems, “The integration of CellTrak with Suncoast Solutions is providing value to us in the reduction of manually rekeying data typically necessary for making adjustments and verifying our visits and paying our staff”

Catholics’ third responsibility is to their community where they understand the responsibility extends beyond the physical walls of their building and into the communities. Working to best serve to the financial ability - those unable to afford. The final responsibility is to the future. Hospice will be faithful stewards of their resources to preserve the ability to carry out the Mission and serve the communities for generations to come.

Michael K. Wons, President and CEO of CellTrak Technologies added, “We view Catholic as a forward thinking company and technological leader and we were very excited when they stepped forward and began the usage of the new CellTrak VisitManager™ Activity Duration Management solution. The new features enable them focus on better patient care via easy to use tools for the staff and helps improve their outlook on future care activities.”

With CellTrak, compliance resolution is obtained with electronically verified visits with signature capture, GPS and location based services at the point of care. This enables the ability to manage different electronic visit verification (EVV) technologies via a common platform including GPS visits via the visit manager command center portal, user interface and integration system for private pay, Medicare and Medicaid markets.
