Mobile Technology Leader Expands Solution Offering

Schaumburg, IL and Cambridge, ON (February 25, 2013) – CellTrak Technologies, Inc., the industry leading provider of integrated mobile solutions for the home healthcare, hospice, and private duty markets in healthcare announced today that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued Patent Number 8,380,542 to CellTrak. Titled “System and Method for Facilitating Outcome-Based Health Care,” the ‘542 patent is directed to aspects of using mobile technologies to facilitate the engagement of the entire care team including but not limited to doctors, nurses, homecare aides, home makers, patients and family members in the process of improving healthcare outcomes. The ‘542 patent is CellTrak’s second; the first, titled “Home Health Point-of-Care and Administration System” issued in late-2011. The two patents are CellTrak’s first to issue in a portfolio of patent applications it has pending before various patent offices, including the U.S. and Canada.

Homecare encompasses a wide range of community-based services that support a person in need of care. This type of care may be particularly appropriate for an individual who is more comfortable receiving care in the comfort of his or her own home or a common facility. Homecare continues to be a preferred care-delivery method and is an increasingly crucial component of the health care system. The benefits of homecare continue to be realized on a daily basis and, as the population ages, the ability to provide high-quality care to a large population of individuals is becoming a necessity.
As a leading provider of outcome based electronic visit verification solutions, CellTrak Technologies solves the four major problems facing home healthcare agencies; visit compliance, patient specific care assessments and data collection at the point of care, mileage and time reimbursements and scheduling communication.

Chris Hoffmann, Senior Director at TripleTree added “It’s gratifying when past TripleTree iAward recipients continue to push the envelope of innovation for the benefit of healthcare. CellTrak is one such company, and recent enhancements to their eCare product will further strengthen the company’s outcome based healthcare solution. The recognition of this innovation is validated with the latest patent award from the US patent and trademark office."

As the leading global provider of integrated mobile clinical solutions, CellTrak provides clients with the latest mobile application platform for home and community care. CellTrak solutions provide an easy to use web portal and integrated mobile application that runs on GPS enabled devices or tablets across any carrier network. The CellTrak solutions are built upon an open healthcare data integration architecture that enables connectivity into existing systems painlessly.
