CellTrak Connection

CellTrak Culture: Schaumburg Happy Hour

It’s been a long time since our CellTrak team got together to kick back, relax, and enjoy each other’s company. One of CellTrak's 5  virtues is to work smart and have fun! Last Thursday, we put that virtue into action by getting together for a good ol’ office happy hour with our employees local to Schaumburg, IL.

After finishing up the workday, we met for an outdoor event near our Schaumburg office location to close off our workday on Thursday, August 5th for an evening of drinks, baggo, and community! We reserved the back area of the restaurant's patio for our team to sit back, relax, and play games together!

Friendly Competition

We caught up with Baggo team champion Dan Wacker about the event. Dan was thrilled to connect with the team -- and school us in baggo. “After nearly 18 months of interacting with people with our team through Zoom or Teams, it was a joy to have about 25 of the CellTrak team members connect for a few drinks, some games and just to enjoy being face to face.”

Meeting Face to Face

This is the first time our company has gotten together for a small gathering in almost a year and a half, and a lot has changed since then. We’ve had over 10 new hires join us, many of who have yet to meet their own team in person.

IMG-5693-1Director of Account Management Kym Malkin sat with Sr. Software Engineer Ron Hirsch, BI Developer Hemang Patel, and IT Specialist Nimeet Shah for drinks while they met in person for the first time. Kym noted how great it was to see people in person,

“you can never thank someone enough for a lifeline when you’re trying to get on the internet, so it was great to sit down with them and really let them know how big their impact is for the company.”

Solutions Engineer Roger Ness echoed this sentiment, saying that it was nice to “get to know the technical team who I don’t work with on a daily basis.”

Catching Up

We feel so grateful to be able to spend some time talking to each other face to face, especially when we don't always see each other in the office! Zach Scally (far Left, below) a long-time CellTrak team member, drove an hour to join us!

We are proud to have a dedicated and talented team that works smart and makes the hard work fun. We have missed holding company events to celebrate our team and hope to be able to have more events in the future.

A note about COVID: CellTrak is monitoring the situation with COVID and puts the safety of its employees first. We made sure the event was outside and there was room for people to spread out into smaller groups. CellTrak continues to work on a hybrid basis and employees are encouraged to do what they believe is best and safest for their families.
