THE ROLE DEFINED:

The Senior Software Developer for Interoperability is a key member of the team accountable for: system interfaces between EMRs and other internal and 3rd party software; customer site reliability; and enablement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Envisioning, designing, creating and supporting our solutions that operate with a high degree of operational excellence
  • Consult with partners, customers and vendors to fully understand requirements
  • Partner with a cross-functional team to imagine, design, develop, test, and launch interoperability solutions that wow our internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide technical support for our internal and external partner teams
  • Develop and enhance tools to improve the quality and speed of site enablement
  • Be willing to explore technical needs, identify problems and bring solutions to the table
  • Constantly strive to improve our development processes
  • Focus on optimization and performance at scale
  • Lead the way - stay up to date with tools, trends, technologies, and frameworks and then sharing that knowledge in a meaningful way
  • Supports team members by providing advice, coaching and code reviews

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Experience in PHP, .NET C#, SQL
  • Experience in two of the following XML SOAP, REST, JSON, HL7 formats and/or Healthcare Interface Engines
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Comfortable providing technical representation on partner and customer calls
  • Strong problem-solving skills; adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership
  • Significant experience with unit testing and test automation
  • A high-quality bar and a drive of continuous improvement; just-enough documentation, code reviews, continuous integration & automated deployment and a preference for agile methods
  • Great communication skills - the ability to think creatively and adapt the message to the audience
  • Prior use of AWS technologies at scale in a production environment
