Post-Acute care leader automates staff functions and reduces paperwork required to document home care visits

Chapters has been using homecare technologies for clinical and scheduling needs from Suncoast Solutions for several years. They were interested in further automation and reduction of the paperwork required to document home care visits and importantly were interested reducing their mileage reimbursement expenses as gas prices were hitting an all time high. Chapters selected and implemented the new point-of-care visit manager solution from CellTrak™. For the mobile home health and hospice care staff, Chapters selected the robust and secure BlackBerry smart phones running on the Verizon network.

In addition to the integrated visit verification features of the solution, the GPS features available as part of CellTrak takes the guess work out of calculating mileage. GPS tracks the mileage to and from each patient's home and immediately stores it in the system. It also gives staff members the ability to get directions from wherever they are to a patient's home.
